Forum Awards 2019 The Winners....

Post by MacV2 »

The voting has closed, the votes have been counted, the impartial observers have been paid off...(brown envelope...chough chough...)

We are proud to announce the winners of the 2019 VTR1000.org readers poll...

Some close run polls this year but then voting was a bit on the low side, I blame the recent General Election putting people off bothering to vote or is it just you lot are a lazy bunch of...**** 's...

1/ The Best Firestorm of 2019...& the winner is... Fabbiostars Moriwaki Rep. Well done Mr Fabio make yourself a prize out of a pile of swarf you deserve it.

2/ Best non Storm of 2019...& the winner is... AMcQs Kh125. Well done Al, take it for a wee spin & enjoy the buzzing...

3/ The best lets say altered Firestorm of 2019...& the winner's are... A remarkable 3-way draw proving if nothing else that we cant make our minds up...Congrats for ruining perfectly good Storms... Paul Smiths & his Storm Cafe Racer. Duffy & his Tango Creation. Dave O'Donals & his Matt Black Motah. No prizes for you as your all heathens !

4/ Best weekend away with your Storming Chums. Another close vote & another draw...& the winner's are... The organisers of GrainStorm 2019 & OP Storm NI Take a bow.

5/ Most helpful Member. A sad year in Stormsvile losing a Brother & a fellow Biker... No winners as such but a :Group Hug: The forum wins for being there for Alistair... Well done everybody...

6/Least progress on a project since records began... The king is dead, well I hope not but It might explain the slow progress over the past several years...Any way Flattie has lost his crown but Bazza & Mark Glsr will have to fight it out over the throne...You havn't time to enjoy the win get back in the cave & get on with it...

7/ Forum Awards 2019 Most Anticipated Project. The mythical Mark Glrs Storm Special. Does it really exist ? Will we ever see the final result ? Will drool be drooled when we do see it ?

8/The most obsessive compulsive bike modifier...& the winner is... Fabio 'Lathemaster' Star. He promised us it was finished some time ago but running issues, a dummy & a pram, strip down & rebuild later its back Dori has ben found... Then there was the new to him std ish Storm that he wasnt gonna do anything to...yeah right... Get back in the shed Fabio...

9/ Operation Storm Highlight 2019. Easy win for 'Just being on an OP Storm with your Storming Mates.' No brainer really again the forum win's well done everybody. Every year in various parts of the country, various people with various bikes get together to meet up with, lets face it Strangers they have only met through this fine Forum. Every year we gain new freinds, sometimes sadly we lose some. Keep it up & start planning 2020's mayhem.

10/ The with Hindsight the best Operation Storm disaster/mishap which can now be looked back on witha chrotle, gauff & chuckle. Another draw...Ok it wasn't funny at the time but it sure makes us laugh now but then other peoples pain & misfortune is always good for a laugh... Step up if you can to accept your award... Bazza 'Domino' Stephens & Mac 'A&E Season Ticket'...It really wasn't funny at the time but if you cant laugh at what life throws at you... Get a life...

& finally our final award for the year...

11/ For the Partner having to put up with the VTR obsessed Forum member. Congratulatoins I think...Mrs Fabio Hetherington, you are most worthy for putting up with wee Robbie, TBH a weekend with him is probably the most, most of us can stomach of him...How you do it day in day out is amazing ! We dont normaly acknowledge the losers but a worth mention must go to Mrs Mons & Mrs AMcQ just because of Tony & Al...

Well done all our worthy winners of 2019.

Thank you for your nominations & for voting.

Enjoy whats left of '19, go easy on the festive comestibles & spirits.

Have a sparkling New Year...

Roll on 2020 Operation Storms, keep it rubber side up & I'll catch up with some of you in someplace sometime. ( It has been pointed out that this should read 'rubber side down & not up...DOH ! )

Thank you all for being part, in my humble opinion, of the best & greatest Forum on the web...

The winners know my Pay Pal addy...if you know what I mean...

Nice work mac, and thanks again to all of you for being there for me this year.
Norman only joined this forum about a year or two before he died, but he loved it, he had never met so many like minded old bike nutters. So few egos and so much pisstaking and camaraderie. as much fun out on the roads as there was back at the pub.

He described the op storm weekends as “group therapy for all the problems of the modern world”, and I think that sums it up pretty damn well.

And when the sh1t hits the fan you all step up.

Other than porn, this forum is the best thing on the internet, and I salute you all for making it that way.

Bring on 2020

Yes clearly.
Evidenced by my tactical voting resulting in winning nothing this year. I assume that's a mistake?
I'm hoping the Aprilia forum has more sense.

Well done, Mac, thanks for your time and effort
