Forum Awards 2018... Nominations now closed...

Post by MacV2 »

Almost 2019 and none of us has thought about the year end malarkey that is our anual name and shame awards.

So I guess in the absence of a professional effort, you will have to put up with my shambolic attempts to kick you into action using only cut & paste from AMcQ's post of last term.

So I am Looking for nominations on the categories below
From today for 1 week only then there will be voting on those who were nominated

I have tried to make that last bit really obvious to see, as every year some of you get very confused and think you are voting when you are only nominating :D

So usual classes as per last year but feel free to make sugegestions as to different awards before the voting starts...

1) best firestorm on the forum
2) best non firestorm owned by a forum member
3) best weekend meet up or op storm
4) most anticipated project
5) least progress on a project since records began (obviously not talking about flatty here)
6) most helpful forum member
7) the forum member with the worst case of obsessive compulsive bike modifying
8.) the forum traitor who is far too active on Facebook
9) most active forum contributer
10) the forum alcoholic ,the one who manages to out drink the rest of us on a weekend away

So it's down to me again to sort it out this year/ next year whatever... So sometime this time next week the polls will open.

Over to you guys...

May I withdraw my nomination for the consolation prize category as I am now dry for January?

I'll be back to normal after my liver has had a little rest.
Perhaps March or so.
HNY all.
My vote goes to grumpy.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Mac,

It's like herding cats

Thanks for sorting out this great tradition, I must be getting old as I didn't even remember about it. Well that or the fact I have been running round like a blue ar$ed fly, since mrs McQ broke her wrist early in December..

Driving, shopping, cooking, cleaning, decorating the feckin tree, xmas shopping, wrapping said gifts ... And then on Christmas Day the b8stard dishwasher packed in :(

How can 5 people use 20 cups in one day

Rant over, you can get back to the voting  ..... Sorry NOMINATIONS :D

Can I add Gabi to number six, for providing a confidence-boosting benchmark?
Shear mastery.......and the milky fork fix in Wales was also a highlight.
