About to be stormless...for now

Post by StormyRob »

Made a big decision yesterday. Been having car trouble the last few weeks and the wife and I have been sharing a wee Focus as a result. Bit the bullet and got a small loan for a new car which is being paid for in part by the storm and the old car which needed work.

That means I will not have a storm. Unsure how long it will be before I have another but I will have another.

On the plus side I now own an Audi A6 3.0 Quattro S-line which feels nice. Fast but practical

Due to the time of year I am parting my bike instead of a straight sale as I stand to make more that way. I will list bits tomorrow but if you have any interest send me a pm. A few of the big bits are already sold.

I will be keeping in touch. Still attending the first ever Republic of Ireland workshop day at the end of the month where I believe 3 bikes are having ccts sorted.

Good luck folks

Is that your new Forum monika then...Stormless Rob ?

GLWS's keep some money aside for any parts needed for the Audi...

You might find thats it's a tad more expensive for spares n stuff than the Focus...

Thanks mate. Yes Spares will definitely be more expensive.
Technically I have a load of storm bits around so "half a storm rob"

Convinced I will have a bike by Summer of next year mate. Just need to hit the overtime when it comes up!

Sold mine to Mac. (Red 633).Don't miss it at all as it was just an expensive toy.Looking at buying a 1964 Triton as a project to keep me busy over winter.

A6! Nice!
Sounds like a sensible plan this time of year and I’m sure you can find A few more Storm bargains which need doing up and selling on in the spring. Hopefully you’ll get one you can keep for the summer and then sell on at the end

That's an awful amount of money Mac. You have me slightly worried 😂

Pete that's the plan. Well kinda. If I get another cheap enough I will just hang onto it

Feeling your pain Rob as I was nearly reluctantly Stormless this week. At least you will have a nice place to be while the weather is crap.

Enjoy the Audi and hope you get back on 2 wheels soon.
