Its Time....

Post by Mav617 »

After 31 years of riding, and fifteen bikes, I am hanging up my lid. Haven't felt like riding this year, or even tinkering with the SV, it's just been sat in the garage, getting in the way. I've done less miles on my last four bikes than I did on my first, and have lost "the edge" and don't want to end up a statistic. I reckon on balance, my favourite was my TZR250 but the VTRs were great also:

Suzuki GP100
Yamaha RD250LC
Honda CB250RS
Suzuki GP125
Yamaha RZ250LC
Yamaha TZR250
Suzuki GSXR400
Yamaha FZR600
Yamaha FZR600R
Yamaha SZR660
Honda VTR1000F
Yamaha MT-03
Yamaha RD350LCII YPVS
Yamaha TRX850
Honda VTR1000F
Suzuki SV1000S

All the best to you guys, you've been a great source of knowledge, fun and friendship and I wish everyone of you the very best. Take care guys, it's been emotional.

Sad to see your hanging up the helmet but if you've made up your mind then so be it...

Pop in now & then to say hi, plenty on here without a Storm & even some without a bike, so you don't need to dissapear compleatly.

+ put any bits of kit in the sales section & make some cash from us...
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Wow that was a bit sudden. Lost the edge :confused ....have you had a near miss or something that has put the eebee geebees in you or maybe a run in with a badger. Well, you have to do what you feel is right so I wish you the best of luck with whatever you do next mate. You'd never catch me in a car though. Have you heard how dangerous they are. The last time I drove a car I almost died from the stress of sitting in traffic  As others have said pop in and say hello from time to time.

Mav, tough decision, but look on it as an opertunity to find a new hobby to spend all your money on and fill the garage..

Like others have said, don't be a stranger, we still need the music clips

All the best to you Rog

I would say just leave it in the garage and you might come back to it but it sounds like that’s been happening any way
Maybe your old enough for a BMW now, just a thought

I wish you all the best in your decision Mav, only you know best what's right for you. As others have said, no need to be a stranger, and you are our local DJ

Great choice of bikes there! I've always fancied an SZR660...
