It didn't look easy....
They had to have vans in front and beside him to shelter him from the wind over the Mountain section.
I know it's all blown up for dramatic effect but he didn't seem very sure of his chances of success during the preparation.

What he needed was an ignition cut rod like they use in the wheelie schools.
He could have ridden something a lot quicker and just held the throttle to the stop all the way. Just a bit of steering to do, jobs a good'n.

I'd have got about ten yards!
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
