Logging in problems

Post by Mav617 »

Hi,

I see Flatty recently had problems logging in - as did I. It was odd, I got locked out for no apparent reason and then even changing passwords didn't help. There seems no way to contact the site admins if you have problems, says there's a problem with the form?

I gave up until I was notified I had a message from Kev L - can one of the site Admins check this out so if it happens again we can resolve via the forum?
I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

Hi, had the same problem, and could not log in for almost 2 weeks. I use Firefox. I ha a brainwave and used Chrome and managed to log in. As you say, if you can't log in, one can't contact Admin. I contacted Admin once I logged in vie Chrome, but have not had a reply. Firefox is also coming up that the site is unsafe/unsecure.

Are you logging in using the https URL prefix? > https://www.vtr1000.org

I am fully aware of that. That still does not explain why some could not sign in for almost 2 weeks. I can now, and have been able to for the last few days. So there was a problem, now it's gone. The point was that one could not contact anybody to let them know of a problem. It was also the same on different computers before you start to say that they are at fault or is is cookie's ect.

There were some issues a month or so ago wth the transition to https with folk using old bookmarks

Logging in with chrome > viewtopic.php?f=10&t=40917

Logging in > viewtopic.php?f=10&t=40922

Admin watty cant log in > viewtopic.php?f=18&t=40928
