What's scared the living crap out of you today ?.

Post by lloydie »

Took the bike to work this Morning !
Nearly killed myself big time.

I hit a badger on entry to a fast left hander ,as I hit it I got air born ,a car transporter was coming the other way and my left elbow clipped the near side front wing of it .
I landed on the grass verge and passed between the trees And ended up in a field ,it took me a good 30 minutes to get it back to the road so I could carry into work ,

Bike is fine (one broken bracket) I'm fine just badly shaken up .
Just have a image of going slat in my head .

Phew close call thee Lloydie. I think most of us have bounced off other vehicles from time to time but I have never bounced off a car transporter. I did bounce off the wall in Rotherhithe tunnel once.

The thing to remember is that it could have just as easily been in the work van if you swapped the badger for a bit of diesel. It all comes down to speed.

Okay, You win.
I was going to post about Welsh tractors pulling out on some rather nice twisty roads. Not just once but twice on the way over to Abergavenny and then add to that all the junk they had left on the road around several blind bends.
Your story was much more scary 8O
Glad you are still here to tell us about it!
