Not a Moriwaki. So what's it worth?
Re: Not a Moriwaki. So what's it worth?
Maaaaate!
Faaaaark that's a nice bike.
I like your description of what it's like to ride compared to how it was.
I am 3 years in and my Storm is a totally different ride from the asthmatic piece of shite that I first road all those mods ago!
Shame your gunna sell it though.
Could you please post some more detailed pics for me to drool over.
Well done sir, it's a peach!

I really don't like the yellow belly pan. But then, I might just have to go with it over winter to complete the look... I've still got the swinging arm and bracing sitting in the garage to weld up. Again, I don't care for the straight Fireblade transplant job. I've shortened the brace and will have additional plate welded in to make it more like the Moriwaki arm. It's all a bit of a balancing act trying to get it to look right, but keeping to sensible spending levels. I'll do a load of photographs once the weather brightens up and get them posted.

Me neither tbh, but you may as well considering your reproducing a slice of history.motocorsaro3 wrote:I really don't like the yellow belly pan. But then, I might just have to go with it over winter to complete the look...
One handy thing is it's only the bellypan that's yellow
So, if it was me, I would buy another one & yellow it up with decals
Then you can break your self in slowly as it sits on the shelf just waiting to be fitted

rob de hoo is selling that bellypan and many others like it, also in carbon fibre, he's a member on this forum as well, VTRdh is his forum name, chances are he'll do you a discount if you purchase outside of ebay...

seriously clean bike mate, I understand about running out of steam, imho it needs some pfm or similar front brakes to complete the looks....

The current set up might not be faithful to the look but they are unbelievably good. The combination of CBR1000RR radial pump with Fireblade calipers and EBC GPFAX pads give all the power and feel I could wish for. I swear I could feel the standard forks flexing when braking from 130mph into the chicane at Donington. HPS are so confident about selling these pads, if they're not the best you've ever used they'll refund you...agentpineapple wrote:seriously clean bike mate, I understand about running out of steam, imho it needs some pfm or similar front brakes to complete the looks....

I've been running a similar setup mate, mine is sp2 calipers and master cylinder, together with hel lines, brembo pads and Armstrong wavy discs.motocorsaro3 wrote:The current set up might not be faithful to the look but they are unbelievably good. excellent setup, but still not as good as pfm or ap racing, my comment was more due to looks and not performance...

Fair comment. I've tried to get the best 'bang for my buck'
And with sthe AP and PFM stuff, it' very much the law of diminishing returns, a huge chunk of money for a little improvement. Hence no Moriwaki parts. No disrespect to Moriwaki, but just not feasible for what I was looking to achieve.

Thanks for that. It was only meant to be a cheap track bike and I got a bit carried away. As usual.
