this one is good, gets very busy in the summer. the USP is that you can buy a pint of adnams in the pub on the left and drink it while you are queuing, the sea is just over the back which is where the fish live.

Just out of interest, what's the furthest anyone is prepared to ride JUST to buy really good chips or café food?

Up here, despite having loads of little local chippies n cafes, I have 2 favourite places to ride to - just to get a haggis pudding supper, or a bloody nice fish supper.

The fish supper is only 12 miles away, so is good for a quick scoot.

The other place is a 45 mile drive. Right into Aberdeen from Banff (closer to 50 miles actually). So, a near 100 mile round trip for a good chippy tea and a coffee.

I've also been known to be bored on the bike, so once drove from Banff to Kirkcaldy on the storm just for a run and a chip supper at the end. Had me chips, drank me coffee whilst sat at the roadside, and then drove home again. A 280 mile round trip. £48 quids worth of fuel (she got some neck wringing on the Dundee road). And all for a 5 quid supper.

I must be bloody mad.
If it ain't broken...f*ck about with it until it is.

There was a chippy at Lizard point, south cornwall, and the queue was out the door !!
so I joined the queue thinking it was local produce, so fish and chips all round !!
Came out the door of the shop and the delivery van pulled up with Grimsby fish on the side !!
Didn't quite taste the same after that
