They have chips but their chips is what we call crisps.

We have crisps...munch munch crunch crunch. And then we have Chips and Fries. Chips being the big fat julienned pieces of potato and fries being your skinny bits of julienned starchy cardboard if from McDonalds.

You need to post your chippy run vid in this thread Chris. :plainsmile

I am fussy about batter, but to my joy I went to edd`s plaice last Friday and had one of the best fish and chips in Norfolk/Suffolk for a long while.
edd`s plaice is outside the wortham dolphin on the A143 near diss every Friday
well worth the ride out for these.
batter was spot on
and if you fancy, you can have a pint in the dolphin while you wait
and sit outside on there tables

Then on the way home some Crafty Goat Ice-cream! https://www.facebook.com/TheCraftyGoatIceCreamParlor

thanks to wicky and this post and pictures
I had promised myself that I would go to the company shed.
it has took me this long but last sunday I went to grahams clay shoot at purleigh and then on to mersea, which did not disappoint.
as we got there my missus wanted to see the road flooded and it was.
we waited for it to go and then on to the shed.
booked a table and walked round the island a little bit, brought a warm baguette from across the way and then my missus had the scallops and I had the platter.
my missus has never had scallops and was not disappointed, loved them.
the platter was I bit smaller but still was as good as the picture made me feel.
and then I took 6 oysters home which again was the first time I had had them and they where very good.
service was top notch as well.
so all in all a very enjoyable day and a lovely meal
very very pleased I have done it :P :P :P :P :P
big thanks to wicky

Glad to hear you enjoyed the trek out to sunny Mersea and the seafood - I was over on Mersea most of the weekend, but unfortunately working.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
