I used to keep preying mantis as pets years ago, and I used to breed them, I generally bred the African species because they were quite easy to keep, but I did have flower mantids which were really pretty, the males were like parasites compared to the females.

The one to keep is the large Chinese species they are well aggressive, the largest is an Egyptian species.

That's an unusual pet to keep in this country. Iv'e never seen them in in pet shops. I should imagine they are not easy to keep. Could you handle them? What type of environment did you keep them in, do they live in a reptilian tank or something.

I was totally blown away when I saw that vid. Plenty of highly camouflaged sea life but not so many land animals, well, not to that extent anyway. Totally amazing.

Cuttlefish have to be one of the smartest. The way they adapt to their environment is incredible.
