polished downpipes

After seeing a few polished systems on here I decided to try a small part but soon ended up doing the downpipes. Here is the result .
Excuse the finger prints

not bad for a 1st attempt :D
Pleased so far the lighting in the room isn't great but ......

Well done mate, they look just like mine did when I polished them, but they will turn a goldie colour once you start the engine and about 1/2 an hours riding. Personally though I like the goldie look :thumbup:

Carpet .......I did them on the kitchen worktops hahah pleased the mrs .A bit of a bonus she cleaned the mess up after :thumbup: .
I don't mind them turning a gold ish colour I don't ride in the wet as I'm a wimp but couldn't resist having a go hahah

It took about 3 days hahah but I did cheat and use power tools where I could .They were in a very sorry state before so even 10 minutes worth of effort would gave looked better

am i being stupid
are these the original pipes or are they chromed or stainless?
and if they are original what and how do you get them like this?
