Started my swingarm strip down. It's creaking when I sit on it. Found a broken header.
Bummer. Have a track day on the 16th and need it all back together by then.

I've made an executive decision.
I've bought this:
Crappy headers
I'm going to put everything back as is for the track day, clean up the new headers and refurb the swingarm and headers at leisure. Procrastination. Always feels good.

buy some harpic cleaner, the stuff in the black bottle.
spray it on the headers, wrap them in cellathaine and leave for 15mins, then wash off, do it twice and the vast majority of crap will come off...
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!

Well the storm I had shipped over from England arrived on 27th april. I took a few hundred quid of extras off her and she has just sold without them for a nice little profit. Chuffed to bits as it was all pretty easy and a quick turnaround.
If you don't try you never know if you can do it.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
CCT's fitted to Blonky, did most of the stipping down a couple of weekends ago, so just cam covers off today. Fitted a pair of Bazza's finest. Boxed it all back up...Pressed the button...whir, whir, whir...Nothing much happening, turning over OK just not fireing...Not panicing as I expected a bit of turning over as the carbs were dry...Thinks...give it a tickel of throtle...
I'd forgoten to conect the throtle cable...DOH!
So tank back off, air box back off...Reconect the go go cable...Air box back on, tank back on...Pressed the button...whir,whir...chough...Rumble, brum, brum... It lives...
Just have to decide now whether to carry on refurbing it to replace Custard as No.1 commuter hack...or burn the peice of crap...

That's a shame, it would have been much more entertaining tomorrow during the ws day...
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
