Wot he said!

Seriously, a well sorted Storm is a thing of beauty. You know it's a good bike with all the necessary things done to it and it's well maintained (by someone you know!).

I toy with the idea of selling mine every now and then. It doesn't get much use. But, when I DO take it out I'm gobsmacked with it's qualities. It's also great fun blowing away people on a twenty year old bike.

iv no hair or nails left lol.

well two nights ago the yellow bikes carbs went onto it, with the blue bikes jets, it ran for all of 30 yards then stopped and refused to start. without touching anything last night i blasted it with easystart and it fired up as before but kept running, so i tried it out the road and once it cleared its throat the popping abd banging had gone and it seems to be running great. maybe a bit of dirt in the carbs of the yellow bike needed cleared but it sems fine.
il get a better run this evening just to check.

strange thing is it wont run with its own carbs that have been fitted to it since buying the engine but the yellow bikes more than happy to run on them... god only knows but im just glad its going before i ended up in a padded cell.

on the plus side after all the checks iv had to do i know i have a good fit engine that doesnt need shims done and has very healthy compression, my main worry was the engine going bang but thats been rulled out

Made an honest woman of mine, got the RWC and finalised the transfer papers so its actually my bike now
Plus a decent front tyre and some other stuff so i can start riding it properly ( i use the term properly loosely) without feeling like the front end is slipping

having been stuck in London for almost a year with several health issues, i'm finally back home in spain, and boy have I missed my bike...
I've spent my spare time going over the bike. no major changes.
lot of cleaning adjusting and swearing, so nothing changes,
here's a few minor upgrades
I've fitted led lights into the airducts. they don't obstruct the airflow too much, and i'm never stuck in traffic....
I've also fitted a voltmeter to my dash and changed all my indies to led bulbs.
my only light that isn't led is the headlight....
I've also removed and cleaned my front calipers, and fitted new pads.
i still have to refit my ohlins and a few other minor bits.
i'll be back riding in the very near future.

here's a few pics of the clean up after a year of sitting.

Good to hear from you Marty
I'm sorry to hear you've had health issues, I hope you're on the up now.

The LED lights seem to work well
