well Yesterday we did 288 miles, Brekkie in Swanage, Lunch in Lyme Regis and Tea in Devon. We had as VFR 1200 ( tramps on!!!) A VFR 800 a Crossrunner VFR800 thingy and my Tiger. A great day out. Then washed it.

agentpineapple wrote: Sun Oct 08, 2017 8:28 pm so this morning I had to do some work on my mates bike to get it ready for it's itv inspection, which is the spanish vosa/mot equivalent, then I decided to remove my touring footpegs and put the std ones back on, fecking hate split pins....
I also had to adjust the height of the gear change pedal to match the higher std pegs.
so off I go, 4 miles to the petrol stn, fill up. and head north on a fast and rather bendy C-12. only to get another 5 miles and the gear change starts to feel odd. so I coast to a stop at the side of the road, only to find I hadn't tightened up the fecking nuts on the gear selection rod....
which is dangling down with only a few threads holding it on at one end. spent the next few mins laying next to the bike reattaching the rod, I always carry a 10mm spanner, so I didn't have to break out the tool kit. all sorted and back on my way. i'm heading for a race track that's about 55 miles from home. once there I had a shandy, which is called a shampoo in most parts of catalunya.
it was busy there, as their was a trackday going on and it was their lunch break, so it was manic.
whilst outside admiring the view a young family walk out and one of their kids runs straight for the bike, the little lad was so excited. I just got to the bike before him to check the exhaust had cooled down, which it had. so in my spazzy Spanish I asked the family if the kids would like a photo on the bike, 2 of them jumped at the chance, probably about 5 and 7yrs old, the older kiddie looked like he had learning difficulties, so it was nice to give them a treat by sitting on the bike. I got a high five from both kids.....

oh and my friends bike had an unexpected pillion this morning....

from the track I covered another 90 miles of fun filled twisty roads, and not a cloud in the sky, 25 degree's, perfect weather....
Aww the lovely weather Marty, not that I'm envious or anything  :D

A very nice back drop for your pride and joy

Custard got treated to a replacement clamp on the rear head downpipe, the old one had rotted away & fell off...

Cleaned, adjusted & lubed the C&S.

Pumped the tires up.

Put it away.

Went out this afternoon & left a deposit on another Storm to be picked up in the week...

It's a bit rough, has been treated ( ! ?) by a previous, previous owner to a nice paint job of stone chip paint...FFS

Vanstub has already put dibs on the links & cans...

Needs some work on the wiring to the clear led rear light as thats been bodged & has no seperate indis & the light flashes in red. Aparently it passed an MOT like that... 8O

Needs CCT's.

Needs front calipers servicing.

Needs the linkages servicing.

Needs a good going over & a full service.

It came with a service kit which is nice.

Seat has already been changed. Got the old ripped one as spare.

I shall call it TarBaby...

It is 6 but one, The Red Shed is sold with money down as part payment.

Standard bars as it sits.

Vanstub has first dibs on the links & pipes. Thats if I decide to sell them...
