RE - Ebay finds - dodgy VTR being broken

Post by lh3110 »

Seen the pic change from the later model to older model.
If I am right, it looks like after market cans on the newer photo - I PM'd him and asked - he said standard honda.
So again - its not a photo of the bike, Dodgy fella alright. Prob wondering were all these inquiries are coming from and why he hasnt had a sale yet! haha :whatever

(posting here as still cant post in sales + wants)

You're right. Definitely aftermarket.

Nice one for seizing the initiative despite the 50 post limit.

Either he knows nout or is a scammer. Both are dangerous tbh :/

Good call indeed..yep dodgy ebayer. First it was the tank now the cans. Does this seller even know what they have.

To me this is a gentle reminder that pictures on ebay can't always be trusted and relied upon. For all we know either of those pictures could have been grabbed off google images. I would rather they posted a stock sales image as at least that is obvious it's not the actual product for sale.

As has been said there is a minimum requirement of 50 posts. Once you reach the salaes and wants section and being able to send PM's automatically becomes active.

Forum Rule no 11
11. Due to abuse of the Sales and Wants section by some previous new members, it is now mandatory that you have 50 posts before you are allowed to post in that section of the forum. Anybody trying to get around this by posting sales in the wrong place will have their posts deleted, try it a second time and their account will be deleted automatically. No questions asked. Also, posting trivial posts just to reach the 50 will also result in your account being deleted.

I sent him a text last night asking how much for the tank it was a picture of a later model with the larger tank he replied £50 if I collect it, I said I would have it and collect today, I then asked for some more parts which he took a picture of and in the background was an early model tank, I sent him a message and said that that's not the same tank I wanted and was not the same as in the picture, He replied ho is it not and just went all quiet, So be aware he is not truthful and now has changed the picture to an early model

Alarm bells would have rang as soon as he said £50 for 19ltr tank 8O . It's so easy to be ripped off with these pieces of scum. Thank god for eagle eyed clued up forum members
