If you had explained all of this in your first post and given a bit of background I don't think you would have had this response. I think, because you just posted up a link on its own, your post came a cross as being spam.

My personal opinion is that it is worth more around the £7500 mark but I'm not a bike collector unfortunately . Good look with the sale though.

As a brand new Honda will it have a 2 or 3 year unlimited mileage warranty or is it sold as seen?

PS There's a 'Sales and Wants' section and you didn't post the bike for sale in that or offer any personal introduction and instead spread your ad around - that's how it got construed you were here solely to spam / here to make a profit.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

It would be of much more help to me if you think that our bike is too expensive to give some advice as to what you think we should sell the bike for. I put the link on here as i thought it would be a great place to let people know that the bike is available as it is a 14 year old brand new ltd edition bike and is of interest to people on here. This section of the website is to advertise deals and things for sale so dont post spam all over my thread as it is not spam. It is an item for sale of total relevance to the site. If i was trying to sell an i pad or something then fair enough but i am not. If this bike or model is of no interest to you then look at a different thread or make your own thread. As far as plastering it all over the site i put it on 2 sections as i was unsure as to which category suited it best. I pressed back space and it added it again. You seem very proud about reporting my post.... We are not at school. Telling tales is nothing to be proud of. You also mentioned you would like to punch me in the face? How old are you? This thread was intended for grown ups.

And you'll have to do better than 8 grand to shift that sorry to say.
Wasnt aware of the minimum post rule. Suppose that was why i could not put it on the sales and wants. I only joined the site to make people aware that this bike was for sale to put 10 posts on would have been wasting peoples time. Im very sorry if my post offended you. Would be ineterested in yours and others opinions as to what the bike is worth. Thanks.

+1

Then you should have made an introduction to spell out your position and intention, that would have been a better way to network yourself and gauge feeling towards your plan.

So far, the way you have gone about it has just wound people up, and rather than apologise, you want to have a little keyboard battle with those who replied negativly to you.........not realy a very good way to make friends and influence people!

can I suggest you start again and see if you can limit the damage being done?

As previously said if you had explained a bit of background and had not just posted a link then the response would have been very different. The reason it has had so many views is because a lot of us including myself are subscribed to most topics on here. We then get an email to say that a new post has been posted in which case one views it.

I got very frustrated with the same post coming up multiple times and considered it to be spam as it was being spread across the board. If you was unsure of where to post, maybe you should have read the rules and regs first and then introduced yourself in the Welcome Inn. This would have been the perfect opportunity to build up the minimum required posts before you could post in the appropriate section. If you had been bothered to read the rules and regs in the first place you would have then realised that a minimum number of posts was required.

Yes you have advertised as a business user on ebay which is not the best place for a legitimate professional businesses to advertise and as far as I knew you could have been a back street trader. Maybe the link should have linked to your dedicated business website which would have given you a bit more credibility.

I have a genuine hatred for spammers and therefore I made a flippant comment regarding punching you in the face, I am as old as I feel, and at that moment in time I felt like I was back in my youth and wanting a fight with a spammer. I should not have made the comment and I apologise for that.

And no I am not proud of having to report something on here but wished to let others know that it had been reported so they don't report it too and flood the admin with emails.

It is a very special bike you have there and would be ideal for a collector. I don't think it is quite in the market of being officially classed as a classic just yet and therefore I think the price should be just under the original price when they first came onto the market. That is just my opinion though.

I wish you luck with the sale.

It's worth what you can get for it, just like any other vehicle. But given that it must be the only Anniversary Storm which is unregistered I would imagine it would go for a premium. Course it would be worth more if it were Blue!!(check out the avatar if you don't understand!).

ive never really got the problem with this type of thing either? I don't want to buy it and it took me about 10 or 15 seconds to come to that conclusion. worse things happen at sea (whatever that means?)

+1 on that, I really don't see why some are getting hot and bothered by it, or making inappropriate comments*, it just allienates the forum and makes it come across as clique (spelling?). (*sorted now though i see  )

I don't feel this bike is that special, it was a model made up by Honda uk, and has essentially some nice-ish (at the time) bolt on parts, It was released at a time when Honda were struggling to shift firestorms so partly it was done to shift 50 units, any connection with russell savory has long gone and his involment was only brief (as opposed to the likes of v&m or Harris for example). would be interesting to know what sort of warranty it'll have and who with ?, lets say i bought it and the shock seals/fork seals etc leaked, is my local honda dealer going to fix it or do i have to return it to you ?, I think it's maybe like buying a 11 year old second hand bike with no miles and a new plate, are the tyres going to be changed ?. An imaculate low mileage (sub 5000mile) 05 Storm would fetch maybe £3750 tops at a main dealer and much less private. With some good upgrades it might command a little more?(or less !), this particular bike in my opinion should sell for £5000-5500, I know that seems low but can't see anyone putting hands in pockets for any more.. I guess some collector could come along and pay more for it, but they''ll be waiting a very very long time for it to be a classic.

Other anniversary models don't really hold any special value, they might on a good day get a little more but thats all, eg, the vfr800/blackbird/cbr600 versions

It's not that easy to sell on older-new bikes, Padgetts still advertise new GSXR1000k3/4 models they've had them for sale for a couple of years and no takers, Nobody wants them, they get nearly new newer models for tha same money. Hope you see where I'm coming from mr Pidcock

tbh it ain't no biggie, but you should have taken the time to have read the rules, then none of this negativety would have occurred, as has been said, a proper introduction would have done the job, i don't have a problem with anybody selling a bike thru the forum, but theres a correct way of doing it, no harm done, and you may well have achieved your 10 posts and can now post in the sales section.
as for the bike, i love it but, regardless of weither it a 62 plate with zero miles on the clock, it is still a bike that was designed in the mid 90's and as such its a touch old fashioned, most people choose to own a firestorm because they're characterful and cheap, not to mention reliable and well put together.
unless you can find a collector of such bikes your going to struggle to shift it for a decent price, imho your looking at £5000 to 6000. good luck with your sale..

I may be wrong here but im sure i have seen something about new old stock having to have age related plates or something like this ? :?:
I recall buying a new old model RRX Blade from Padgetts in 05 but it had to be registered as 03, not sure if it had something to do with emmissions :confused
