Bennetts Rip off !

Post by seantopbloke »

Tried them last year for the 2nd time since the early 90's, got shafted again, worst company i have ever dealt with.

They use a separate company to collect the direct debit, this company couldn't complete my direct debit details correctly & kept blaming me !

Unfortunately being only 1 man i ended paying the price & i am coming to the end of the paying the money i owe for an insurance policy that was cancelled 3 months into the contract, i had to take out insurance with someone else just to use my bike ?

This company is the cancer of motorcycle insurance & should not be allowed to function in this country or any other, i will spend the rest of my days causing any problems i can for "Blame-its" & constantly tell all of my experience !

AVOID BENNETTS, THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY, CANCEL YOUR CONTRACT & OFFER NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT, THEN THEY TAKE YOU TO COURT !

try ebike m8, might not be the cheapest but best service ive had yet.
no silly admin charge for making changes to your policy, pay monthly for no extra cost, no hassle with payments, a year's no claims for every 8mths insurance, lots of freebies...

mine's just gone down again cos i took my cbx750 off after noticing i get a free classic bike policy for each standard policy - saved me a few bob lol :)

used bennets before and they wouldn't pay out for a theft because i didnt notice the bike was missing for 3 days...
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

I totally agree with you, I went with bennetts last year and same thing happened to me, I paid policy in full (was 127 quid) and changed my bike about half way through policy, when I rang them to change bike over, they said I was unable to do so and would have to start a new policy. Also they informed me with cancellation fees etc I owed them £68 on the old policy??? They would not insure new bike until I paid the cancellation fee.........
I went with swinton bikes and I still have "Final Demand" letters from bennetts.....I will pay them (when nelson gets his eye back) :D
Should be closed down, at least Richard turpin had the decency to wear a mask.......

see if that was ebike, you could log into your policies, make the change of vehicle, delete the other, use any £off vouchers they have sent and get cover instantly, no admin fee.
then print off a new cert yourself.
worth the extra few bob for the less hassle imo
i took my cbx off my policy cos i noticed i can get a free classic policy for bikes over 20yr old, with every standard policy.
storm insurance is now 11.85 a mth
used bennets before and they pissed me off bigtime when i tried to claim for an off.
same as, they wanted the policy paying in full before theyd send forms out and still fkt me about for months.
waste of time - for a specialist bike insurer they should know we all talk :Argue 1:

I didn't have any problems with Bennetts last year, although they charged me an admin fee for a change of address they were happy to include a second bike on the policy at the same time for no additional (admin) fee.

Switched to Carole Nash for the SP2 as I didn't like the renewal quote I was getting with Bennetts and so far, so good.

Never going near them again, i am sick of them s*****g on the little guy, that is exactly how i felt, price doesnt bother me, service & reliability does, Bennetts couldn't offer this, i couldn't understand their english half the time.

Been with Bennetts for 10 years and no problems. BUT the I have never had a claim or a change of bike or address.
Supose sh1t will only happen when you need it not to happen....

Have never accepted the renewal quote though, always always had to do a on line quote and then tell them how much its was online and thats what i will pay and no more.

Ebike looks good though... With all the online stuff.

My Dad is no longer using Bennetts now, he was sick of trying to communicate with the pathetic finance company they were using to collect the monthly Direct Debit, cost him a few quid in charges as well, steer clear is my message ! :Argue 1:  :Ball Kick:
