More wet than dry Saturday, drizzle this morning but as soon as we crossed the border into England the sun shone and roads dried.

Great roads, and the BBQ was good, we have a new apprentice chef!

Thanks to all who participated 🤗

Glad you all had fun. Still slightly gutted that I missed it.

Was raining in Sardinia as well this morning and there is thunderstorms forecast for most of next week, Not fun on mountain roads on track day tyres.
but it dried out for some of the best fast flowing valley roads on the island and knee sliders are now needing replaced. We had 5 bikes running together in less than 50m space for a 30 mile run with non stop corners. Still buzzing

Nope. The Apes ran like well oiled Italian thoroughbreds. The same can't be said of the Ducati. Ady is the new Tony and he will no doubt tell you have they now use Fairy Liquid for maintenance. Ady in fact excelled himself by breaking two bikes in two days.

no bike was Ok this time I did take the precaution of having it on trickle charge just to be sure (cheers Mark), although when it didn't start straightaway Sun morning I had a nasty feeling it was going to disgrace itself again and leave me stranded in deep dark Wales, but fortunately is decided to play ball and reluctantly fired, there's definitely a problem with the charging / starter systems which I’ll endeavour to trace and rectify over the winter.
I've now gone all European and bought a KTM Superduke GT and Aprilia RSV1000R :D ,
Storm is now gone  .

Last 2 days on the white bmw RR, tomorrow will be the red R.

The RR has been fitted with flat bars since last year, and it’s now the perfect bike for round here

Aaah, I thought that RR didn't look stock. I'd be interested in your opinions/difference between the two. My mate Edward (crasher in SW Scotland) is contemplating one of those as a replacement for the 1050 Trumpet.

I spoke with him the other day. He's walking around and trying to rebuild muscle mass. The hand was the worst bit, still very swollen. That MAY need another op but only a bit more time will tell.

They are very different to ride, Considering they have the same chassis !

The RR is more stable and better on fast sweepers, also has more feel from the Front end. The R is lower geared and has 3000 Revs less red line and feels twitchy in comparison. The only thing the R was better for was rider comfort with the flat bars and lower pegs, and now with the RR a bar conversion it works better as I like the higher pegs.
Only had 1hr on the R today, so will see if I can gel with it with more practice
