Have a good day Chaps, I was going to ride down with uk13iker, but when I got up the weather wasn't good :( although it is forecast to clear around lunch time we decided we didn't fancy getting soaked straight from the off, anyway hopefully weather permitting should see some of you next week at the Yorkshire meet

Big thank you from me to everyone who helped with my bike, especially Alistair and his good lady for hosting, some very impressive workshop skills on display, especially removing that broken EasiOut on Abbi(spelling?) bike..

All very civilised too, loads of fab food on offer , mugs of tea n coffee on tap and even a selection of cakes... .great roads there and back made it my kind of perfect day..I did have to briefly stop on the way home to tighten up the wee inspection cap, it was loose and when my foot slipped off the peg the second time I knew something was amiss but I nipped it up and all was good.

Grubs up!

Alistair allows himself a smile and contemplates life returning to normal as we all start to leave....

Look forward to catching up with you all again late this year.

Cheers.

Thanks to everybody who turned up, it was a cracking day in the shed. And yes Paula excelled with the hostessing.

We had 4 bikes being worked on and 7 helpers so worked out well.

Gabi was doing the most work with a fork oil change , valve clearances and then we also found out it was 180 out on the timing. Was all going well till he broke a cam cover bolt and then the fun started.
We got it out with a bit of lateral thinking from Gabi and when I looked at some of the other bolts they had all been over tightened some time in the past and were necked thin at the shoulder ,so they got replaced.

Then just to makes his troubles worse, he called me from a service station on the M1 to say the. Ike was leaking oil from the front head. He is home now, so we will have to see what didn't get put back correctly.

And thanks to all the helpers and Tony for added expert advice

Alistair and Paula thank you very much for a Great day and fab food and drinks. Great to meet some new faces, also thanks for letting me see the Horses. 402 miles by the time i got home ? and the bike was ok, thats a Triumph then lol. Podders your bike was a bargain. Gabi well done for for persevering with the stud. I bet it went better on the way home after being 180 out.
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

Well pleased with the end result minus oil leak ...my workshop continues in my garage
