Endurance legends weekend 6th/7th May 2017

Post by popkat »

Is anyone interested in going along to this for the weekend, I could ask if we could have a sort of club stand to display some Storms (as suggested to freeridenick on another thread)..

A different sort of OP Storm.

You can book to go on track sessions on a road going Firestorm.

I was looking at going anyway.
But if other members are going..... it would be nice to meet them.

VFR or Firestorm Roger, I can't decide so i'll just take both, lol..
If I can't get the VFR track ready I can still take the Storm on track but using this event as an incentive to have the race bike ready.

We can get some nice Storms gathered here and some special ones.. I can think of a couple of Moriwaki's and what should be a rather special build when it gets finished.. Mark ?.

I'm up for it. Should be a good weekend, especially if those with specials can come along.

I would be up for this as well, only cause nothing has yet been organised for the May meet.

Will there be camping or will we be looking at finding a local hotel to stay at?

I've asked about camping as there's nothing on their site about accommodation.

All display bikes include a weekend pass and display bikes are free. So that's a £20 saving. Ride in tickets are £200 for 12 bike's and that gets you into the paddock and be part of the show. The track day is extra.

So the question is do folks want to ride there or van their bike?

There's a campsite right by the paddock i'll try and get some info on it.

We need a list of people going to get enough of the display tickets.

I would want to do the trackday session as well, not sure if I would ride up or bring the bike on the trailer so I could have all the camping luxuries in the car

The guy I was talking to at Endurance Legends has said they are looking at marquees as the club displays will be in the paddock. They can't accommodate every club so I guess first come first served.

They were planning to have camping available in the infield but ground works mean they can't commit, but are happy if folks want to sleep in vans. They suggest Donington Park Farmhouse.
