Got myself something really really heavy as too good to let pass.
Still looking for a decent storm that's not been tarted to death or way overpriced so hoping to have options come Aug.

Eeek. There's the "Arts and Crafts Trail" on that weekend and the B&B's I've tried are fully booked. Soooo. It looks like a tent.

Can anyone recommend a small 2 man tent I can buy? And, none of you lot are invited. It may be a 2 man tent but there's only going to be one man in it (covering my options there).

i just got told the same by MrsMcQ. so yes B&Bs are full.

I like Vango tents. I use the Vango Ark 200+ Tent as it has a good sized porch for your kit and that leaves room for 2 in the main sleeping area... or lots of room for 1. about 70 quid

also the smaller version of PeteL's tent. the Vango Omega 250 Tent at about 170quid

Go Outdoors is you friend.
http://m.gooutdoors.co.uk/

Or Blacks is another good online store
On another note: I've fixed tha stiction I was plagued with in the weekend. What I thought at first was just a new tyre and a harder tire wall to get used to turned out to be the pinch bolts incorrectly done up. The tire fitter must have over torqued the main axle and it pulled the forks in on the bearing too tight.
It's a lovely smooth action now and has much better feelImage

Go outdoors sale finishes tonight. Get online. The one that Pete had is down to £170.vango omega 250
Or
Get an ASDA £25 2 man tent. I've been using the 2 man o e double skinned one for 3 years. Don't go for the 3 man single skinned one as it's pants..

I've just indulged in an inflatable Sollia 4. Yes it's bulky, it's light enough and I can stand up in it. No more butt shoffeling putting on trousers for me!

Me and disheveled Andy will be arriving Friday afternoon. Well groomed Andy (KTM 1050) has yet to confirm attendance due to potential family duties. We'll be leaving some time on the Sunday.

On another note, disheveled Andy (VStrom 650) and me were out for a ride on Tuesday. He has very little experience with other bikes and so we swapped for a bit. Suffice it to say he's now scouring the classifieds for a Storm!
