went for a ride this morning

Post by agentpineapple »

got up early this morning and headed out for a ride, grey and overcast, much like an English summers day...
still between 15 and 20 degrees tho. rain was predicted for the afternoon, hence the getting up early.
my ride had a bit of everything. fast sweeping 3 figure corners, slow 1st/2nd gear corners, flat out straights, mountain twistys, oh and rain and fog over the mountain.
beautiful viaducts and lakes, even the mediterranean sea....

Think we can out do you with the weather! For a change. Beautiful blue skies, nice clear Essex/Herts roads, but no Med.

don't think I could ever get bored out here pete. did some research on the viaduct, built in 1890 for the railway, had the centre blown up in the Spanish civil war in 1939, it was quickly rebuilt and is still in use by the railway today.
beautiful workmanship.

the roads in that particular area are mobbed with cyclists on a Sunday, but hardly any cars, so there's never a hold up.... :biggrin
