Update for Op Storm Yorkshire Dales

Post by Flatline »

Update on routes

I have asked Chris, Miztaziggy to lead the progressive group and sort out a route, which is likely to be different to my group's

For those that wish to canter round with me, we will be using:

A684 from Bedale to Sedbergh as the northern most road

A65/A59 Kirkby Lonsdale to Harrogate as the southern most road

North/south will be:

On the west side A683 Sedbergh/Kirkby Lonsdale

B6255 Hawes/Ingleton

B6160 down to Skipton

On the east side B6108 Ripon/Leyburn

Those a the rough boundries of our route, we may stray out a little

I hope to all those roads, both ways

Friday afternoon, let's see how it goes, maybe ride out to meet those arriving a little later

Sat morning early, head off to Ripon to get breakfast (great road to get warmed up)

Sunday morning, again, play it by ear

Then enjoy the day

I will be there on Friday, about 10.30/11am to set up camp, any help would be appreciated (I suspect Adyf will be there)

It's about £20 per night

If you have cameras, please bring them, and use them

Let's hope it's dry

See you there

You're about 30 miles short of the camp site aren't you?

Flatty - FYI

Route from camp site across to Ingleton to pick up Kev:

Route from Ingleton to Hawes for the morning ride. Stop at Hawes for lunch

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Devil ... 038282!3e0

Note avoiding A683 (Kirby Lonsdale to Sedbergh) because of a closed bridge on that road.

Yes reading it now I realise it could be construed as a cottage plea.
The least I expect is dinner and a movie first.
