i'm probably being a bit thick but what do the different symbols at the side of the topics mean - the star means i've posted in that topic but why are some red and others blue and some have moving lines in them?

Blue = read
Blue with star and scrolling = read but you have previously posted in that thread

All the scrolling ones have a star but there are non scrollers with a star. Don't know what the differences are there

I have scrolling ones that don't have a star, but given how much you post Carl, I doubt you have any topics without a star
