It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Think of an iPad as a giant iPhone and not computer, though technically it's a computer as it's all still calculations of 0's and 1's. I'm not much of a fan of tablets and apps and still getting to grips with them. I must say I don't like the limitations, though they do have their uses I don't see them as a replacement for a desktop/laptop computer.

I have the kindle app and get that offered in Sarari's 'Open with...' list. Not really tried any alternative but it does the trick for me.

Damn your a clever bunch. I find the iPad a bit anal at times, but my PC is in a box ATM and the mrs won't let let me bring my bike in the house so having it on the pad is really handy. Am liking the learning involved on the bike and one day I may even make it to a garage session, still a few bits to do though

Open the PDF attachment.
Press and hold some where on the PDF and you will get a pop up come up with the option to open in iBooks.
Press that button and it will save it to your iBooks fold to look at when ever you want.
