VTR Manual download

Post by Badger »

My mate has just downloaded the vtr manual, he's got broadband & I haven't.
How can he save it, to copy it to a CD ?

Sure, why?
Not too sure I fully understand the point of your question. If you are concerned about file size, it's roughly 125 mo, so it fits easy on a CD (which can hold 700 mo).
Hope this helps!

If this is too basic a reply, pretend I didn't reply at all!
Badger, has your mate got a CD writer on his pc? If so. Save it off to a temp directory on it. If his CD writer is in built, then he just picks and drags the file to the CD drive. If his writer is an external device, he may need to open up the writer program, and create a disk from within the writer program.

When I took it down, I just double clicked on the file (not the zip) and it opens the dialogue box with the usual "some attachments may contain...... open if from a trusted source........ then the options save, open" etc I saved to a directory on mine, and then copied off to a CD. Took about 30 mins on a high speed line.

The file is about three levels deep in the zip if I remember correctly. The zip is supposed to be quicker, but I found it taking as long to download.
