indicators wombles up, sprayed cleaner in ect...... looks like I Will damage it if completely strip it, I would prefer a replacement and then take the faulty one apart.

must be off a low milage or newer vtr, mine is wombles and as its a common fault i gather that any vtr replacement will eventualy fail too.

Thanks for your help on this . Just asked her again and she says an ex-boyfriend put the k and n air filter in and mucked about with it, she thinks it was running okay but it might not have done.
I Posted on a bandit forum and they say bandits don't run well with k&n with out being set up properly.

going to put back a standard air filter in it and go from there I will post anything I find. want to sort it for her she has had the bike ages and did a very impressive tour of Europe on it but can't keep up on the group rideouts I organise and after riding it I know why now there's not enough power...

or poss breather in the tank cap airlocking it I forgot to check this when I rode it earlier today, could have opened filler cap to check. what puzzles me is that it revs freely on stand, if it were a fueling issue would it not affect it? breather could be blocked, she leaves it outside with out a ...

I don't think it has standard air box. it looks like someone has moded it there is a tube that is cable tied above the battery that doesn't look standard.

My friends Gsf 600 bandit starts fine and revs freely on the stand, but when ridden as soon as you hit 6k in any gear it stutters and will not pull anymore. Just trying to get some ideas where to start, all I have done so far is pulled the plugs to check colour and they seem fine and took it for a r...
