Re: Ride To The Wall

It's a great experience, with hangovers to match.

This year I'm staying the Sunday night as well to catch up on lost sleep, instead of heading home knackered.

Re: Storm inverness

So I should have said a bit about biking. I've currently got a divvy 900 and the storm. The storm has 43000 on the clock and need fork seals or possibly re chromed stanchions. Otherwise seems good. Before this I've had mtx125, cbr 600's, gsxr750, cb400, r80rt, r100rs, gt750 Rallies I've enjoyed incl...

Re: Camping on a motorbike list

I went to the Kyleakin Rally a few years ago with:

Two tents,
2 sleeping bags,
2 airbeds
2 crates of beer
A Table and two chairs
A guitar
A fiddle
A set of bagpipes

It was useful having a sidecar on the bike

Ride To The Wall

Anyone go to RTTW?

I go every year, but don't think it'll be on the firestorm. It's 450 miles from home and inclement weather is a common factor in October.

Inverness

Does anything happen in the highlands?

I've not been on a ride out up here. Used to do a few in Yorkshire.

Re: Storm inverness

I'm hoping to go to a couple of rallies on the storm. It's a red one which will help get there faster.

I reckon dunbeath rally and kyleakin are on the cards for me.

Storm inverness

Hello folks, Got my storm a couple of months ago and rode it home 400 miles. Pretty happy so far, although I said to the wife I'm not doing Ride To The Wall on it. I've been reading the forum for a while and found lots of useful info here. My main worry is getting to Perth from Inverness. Does anyon...

Re: Anyone tried Tyre Slime to repair puncture?

I used slime years ago on my CBR600. It definitely did the job and I think I accumulated several punctures but it lasted even when tyre was worn through to canvas.

I would describe my attitude then as reckless. I like the self-tapper advice. I usually carry an aerosol tyre repair on long trips now.
