Thanks Mac. Was going to look into cheaper options, but don't think I'll bother. Don't want to ruin £80 worth of hoses!

Re: Coolant leak
So it was the bottom hose to the right of the choke lever. What a ball ache to get off too! Found a split in the end it was leaking from and not enough give in the hose just to cut the end off. So looking at these. Don't see the point in getting used ones off eBay that are still going to be 20-ish y...

Re: Coolant leak
Might look like corrosion but I think it may be sludge that's leaked out. Coolant wasn't the best when I drained it. Guess I'm going to have to drain it again and check the pipe. Had a look at the parts fiche on Fowlers and it's not obvious which pipe it is. Fiche seems to imply the pipe goes to the...

Coolant leak
So the only snagging thing I've found so far (other than the cosmetic things), is this coolant leak. I've highlighted where the leak is. I had broken the hose clip and hoped that would be an easy fix. But it still leaks a little bit. The other picture is showing what I think is the other end of the ...

Re: Little bit more progress....
Posted it in the Bargain Bin section, but here's the link.

Was curious what they'd be like but though it worth a punt for the price. Fit perfect though and seem just as good as others I've seen for quite a bit more.

Re: Little bit more progress....
Was going to clean up the standard levers but found these lovely ones on eBay. Brand new £20 for the pair. Arrived from China in less than a week and look as good as Pazzo/CRG levers I've used in the past. Just much cheaper! Daz https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200222/c2972ed9af1c3770b6427148eb5f5...

Re: Little bit more progress....
Took it out for 10/15 minutes last week to get it to to temperature, fill up with fuel and adjust idle speed. Noticed when adjusting idle it's leaking a bit of coolant from the right radiator where the hose goes on. Hopefully just needing tightened. Will get that done this weekend. Otherwise pleased...

Re: Little bit more progress....
My wife used to have a yellow one years ago. She's looking forward to having a go to see if it brings back memories. Not sure it'll live up to her current Fireblade though!

Re: Constand Pin Size
Don't know about other stands but the Harris one has a couple of different arms that the pin goes into to avoid that problem.
It's not cheap though. But they have an option for SO1/SP2.

Re: Constand Pin Size
I've had a Harris front stand for years with various bikes. But the pin for the Firestorm is huge. So measured used socket to get the size then measured that and got Harris to make one.
As stated, I believe it was 17.5mm.

Re: Little bit more progress....
Finished! MOT'd, taxed and ready to go. Still a few wee things I want to do, but there always will be. Full cosmetic tidy up can wait until next winter! If these storms would finish (pun intended), I could get out on it! Daz https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200214/0bce52e52e0de92a8166acf29c879ef2....

Re: Idle speed
Throttle position sensor and carb balance might be a bit beyond me! But will look into that.

Re: Idle speed
Wasn't sure if the later ones were injected.
Thanks for that. I thought that's what it was but the page I was looking at showed pilot screws too. Been a while since I had a carbed bike so wanted to check!
Cheers

Idle speed
Had a look in the workshop manual to see how to adjust idle speed, but pictures but particularly clear.
Can anyone shed light on exactly where the screw(s) are that I need to adjust?
Cheers
