Check your oil for fuel dilution before you run the engine.

Re: Spring Forward...Fall Back...

I've lived, as an adult child, three geographically different places. Two that didn't change the position of the hands on the clock (Hawaii and Arizona) and one place that did (Alaska). I really don't understand the supposed rational why, as it doesn't do anything useful. Nice not having to go throu...

Re: Blocked water drain hole

Sounds like an air lock. Fill the rad at the filler cap on the side stand, then start the engine. Wearing gloves, squeeze the large pipe that runs through the frame, you should see the level drop in the filler neck. Add more coolant when that happens and repeat. Then hold the throttle at 3k revs, a...

Made a stand a few years ago using the info from this thread. It has been utterly indispensable. Every time I use it I'm thankful for this site. A huge thank you to the OP Jazzscot.

While stainless might be fine, in such a critical area I would only use OEM or exact equivalent.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Actually got her started today......now to go through all the fun of tuning the carbs once again as I am now at 5K feet. So its time for a second Flo-Commander, this one for the pilot circuit, as I really don't want to run smaller pilots and it looks like I need to be able to run from around 7K to ...

Well just got kicked off the US SH site..... I guess I shouldn't have been honest when the question of "why is this place so slow and no one posts much" was asked. I mean all I said was that I refrain from posting much because there was the dreaded brake pad thread and I dared to state my...

Re: Water Proofs ???????

Take a look at some of the rain gear that is being sold by outdoor/hiking/camping retailers. I purchased these last year. Forgot how expensive they were, but they kept me dry. Also pack down to a reasonably small size. https://www.rei.com/product/127340/rei-co-op-rainier-full-zip-rain-pants-mens-tall
