Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Sounds like you made hard work for yourself, you only had to loosen the pinch bolts on the yokes and the forks would have been out. but you got the job done

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
?? So how did you drain the oil ?, and how did you measure the air gap when it needs to be done with forks fully compressed with no spring and the forks upright ?.
Re: Help...
If it's not got a restrictor kit fitted then look to carb diaphragm, as found on a similar thread posted today.

Re: SV 650 problem !
Initially it all points to reg/rec, It's worth testing again, also make sure all the conectors are good and clean. I'm thinking also it could be cheap low quality battery, it pays to get the best you can, if the battery is good then it should read at least 12.8v without the bike running, again if it...

Re: Track bike
Suspension all depends on the bike your using and what adjustments it has, Some rough basics. Front sag. static 25mm. with rider on board 38-45mm Rear sag. static 8-10mm. with rider onboard around 30mm If out of this range a different spring maybe needed. Rebound damping Set it so it returns at roug...

Re: Track bike
Steer clear of cat b bikes, they probably would have been classified that due to frame damage, also hard to sell on. I've got an SV650 in at the moment that going through the insurance, it's already been used as a track bike(a couple of times) Raised up rear, full Akropovic, but still has it's light...

Re: Love my new Firestorm. What next?
The link shows well how to do it. on mine i didn't do block off plates, i just got some rubber hose with the correct inside diameter, cut it short and put a cut down bolt in the end then a zip tie around them, did the same for the airbox too. cost nothing as i had some hose lying around. Warning not...

Re: Love my new Firestorm. What next?
F3, should have lcd display on righthand side of clocks. if you look at the front cam cover you'll see an extra cover on top with a hose coming out the side, thats the pair valve(reed) cover for the front cylinder, you'll also have a fuel range of around 150 miles as it'll have the larger 19litre ta...

Re: Love my new Firestorm. What next?
Hi, If it really is an F2 or F3 (not an old stock FX/Y) then if you change the cans you'll need to blockoff the "pair" valve system or it'll sound like one of those Farty sounding fireworks all the time.. got cans on mine with std air filter and blocked off pair, runs fine.
