Re: hagon rebuild price

If you have a decent shock with compression adjustment the you don't need a hydraulic preload, the preload when set correctly can be left alone, i'm assuming you want it for two up riding, if you have compression adjustment then that's what you need to firm up when two up and leave the other adjustm...

Re: shock re-working

Keep shock to 345mm eye to eye, you have standard linkages.. The Hagon should come in at 345mm same as the original shock. If you want to raise ride height above standard then use a 3mm spacer on the top shock mount with a std or hagon shock. you could add it at the shock if you get an adjustable le...

Re: Which speedo/rev counter?

F2 black speedo, white rev counter (middle clock) and lcd display on the right, F3 the same but both dials black. if you've not got this you have a left over older model (16 litre tank model) Model code should be on a sticker on the subframe under the seat.

Re: shock re-working

That looks to be all standard to me so i'd say it's just lowered by the shorter shock.

Re: Today's ride outs

Went to Perranporth, Good run down the A39, cracking road, not too much holiday traffic, no near misses but a mates bike spat it's baffle out which made it mega loud, found it at the side of the road on the way back, not long after his number plate fell off too, lol. Another mate pulled over at the ...

Re: shock re-working

Not as simple as dogbones on the firestorm, you can only lower a bit by linkage plates as the bottom suspension strut gets in the way, same goes if you make a shorter strut, the bottom of the shock is fairly close which limits the amount it can be lowered.

Re: shock re-working

 . As far as I know Hagon build the shocks shorter to order, best to give them a ring to see if they can modify it back to standard length and respring it for you. Hagons are a budget shock but still should be better than the standard shock. Might cost you a few quid if they'll do it, if not th...

Re: Aftermarket chain tugs

Chain adjusters.. the gilles ones i've seen are for the block type (gsxr style) adjusters, never seen any for the type on a firestorm

The giles one just convert the block type to a system the same as a firestorm anyway. althoufh they do look good.

Re: Powdercoating wheels

you'll need to remove the wheel bearings. keep your inner spacers safe and don't forget to put them back in when you fit new bearings. Disc mounting face needs to be masked aswell as where the bearings go and the threads for the disc bolts, have a correct size tap to hand to give the threads a quick...
