Re: LH grip came loose. There's a hole in the clipon.
I'm now confused. Looking through previous threads and what's on sale there appears to be two types of bar end. 1. The one that virtually everyone is selling that uses an expanding bung and is usally made of aluminium. 2. A rare item that simply has a screw which presumably screws into an existing b...

Aaaah, that makes sense. Never had any bar ends on the bike. Might get some to stop things sliding off.NZSpokes wrote:I think it holds the barend mount in. Clip comes up from the inside.

LH grip came loose. There's a hole in the clipon.
Nice long run in the pouring rain the other day and towards the end my LH handlebar grip came loose. Not a major drama. Pour a bit of petrol inside it, slide it back on. When stuck fix it up with tie wire. However, with the grip off I noticed a drilled hole in the clipon, out towards the end. What's...

I think I'll try and make this as well.... But, B&B for me (watch out for the Midges). you will enjoy it mate........ midges are not a problem that location and time of year. I think it is too far from the river for them to breed there, but there are loads of good B&B's in the town, you jus...

A quick and dirty CCT stopper mod?
Forgive me if I'm being thick but surely, if the front cylinder is at TDC on the compression stroke the CCT can be removed without affecting the tooth index. The chain will stay on the sprockets and not slip any teeth. I'm not sure that would be the case on the rear cylinder as it's more upright and...

Plug Spanner?
Well, I've actually managed to get the tank off. This bike hasn't been touched for years and the fuel lines were welded to the spigots. So finally I can replace the manky air filter. I have new plugs but... guess what, my 18mm plug socket will NOT fit down the tunnel. The, no doubt, very thin Honda ...
