Rear disc

I don't care how pretty it is as long as it's not got much of a lip.

Re: scrap clipon

OK. I only really need one spare set but Sods Law would say I'll drop it on the same side twice as soon as I get rid of one on that side.

If you don't get sorted I'll send you one with a SAE so I can get it back

Re: Help needed: Carb setting issue

Have you had a V twin before ?, they are different. 2k rpm is pretty low to expect it to pull in 4th gear. There may be an issue with your bike but you may also be not quite riding it in the right way. That's a fair point. I'm using mine on track only but I like to keep it above 6k. Any lower than ...

Re: Help needed: Carb setting issue

The plugs look too rich to me. Also, they should be Iridium. I would change them. The top of the inlet valves look horrid. Leaky valve seals perhaps? Letting oil onto them? I was thinking rich too. If they're DJ needles they will have six slots and the clip on the second from bottom (nearest the po...

Re: Engine problems - due to heat?

if that was my engine id be thinking its running weak looking at those plugs.. check the airfilter/carbs are tight and you have no air leaks. also give your carbs a good clean. Or, from the carb tuning guide in the welcome in: NOTE: A rich problem gets worse as the engine heats up. If the throttle ...

Re: To Bim or not to Bim ?

Bit late to the party on this.

The only Bimota I've ridden was a DB4 and I loved it. It was a bit like the Storm online some ways - not that powerful but the handling was superb.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Fell off it.

Before anyone gets worried about a damaged Firestorm it was my mountain bike I fell off - a few scratches but nothing terrible. Me on the other hand. I have a nice big hole in my elbow and bruised ribs that are starting to feel more like cracked ribs. I'm getting too old for this.
