Re: Front wheel alignment
If your sure the spacers are correct then loosen the wheel spindle, pinch bolts and caliper bolts to finger tight and bounce up and down on the front end, this will allow everything to settle in the right place. It's easy to pull the spindle in too far if you tighten up the pinchbolts before tighten...

Re: help on cct, timing and fuel tap
If you have a later storm with the 19L tank and honda wings, upgraded dash etc then you are correct there is no fuel tap and it just has an elbow at the tank that leads down to a diaphragm mounted on the back of the frame. You can either clamp the fuel lines to stop the fuel running out or fit some...
Re: New Toy
Ssss alright I suppose, deff needs a new pipe, the modern designs of exhausts are hideous with all the eco crap we have to suffer these days ! The std pipe on them sounds pretty good and isn't too quiet (look good to imo) that model isn't stuffed with all the emmision stuff that stiffles more moder...

Re: ebay thread vote!!!!!
Was also a good suggestion from thumper that the 50 or 100 posts needed to qualify have to be of a value to the forum, so excluding dross posts from the general chat and welcome areas That was the rules on the OSS site. 50 useful posts. that site had loads of different sections covering alot of dif...

Re: ebay thread vote!!!!!
50 post minimum before seeing the sales, wanted and ebay sections (which should all be seperate imo). when 50 posts reached a request access to admin to have that section added should be required, admin can then add the person (or remove !) at their discretion. Also i think the workshop knowledge se...

Re: Why do you own a firestorm...
I had a new one in 2000 because i wanted one, did a bit of despatching on it, toured the south of the country, went to le mans, entered 2 race meetings on it (won 5 races) all in 9 months, i thought it was all going too well, then had a ride on a 955 speed triple so got rid of the storm and bought S...
Re: CCT Mod
That's about right, between 11 and 13 is normal. Did mine at the weekend, 12.5mm on the rear and 9mm on the front. set the TPS aswell, was 9 something, adjusted it to 5.3 thats close enough, couldn't be bothered with hacking it about to get the last bit. Also took off the pair system gubbins, flipp...

Re: The hunt for the K5
Nice looking bike, the graphics are motografix and don't come cheap, i think they look good on it, the K5/6's had paint that chips really easy so these are worth having. Ask where the pipe is, you don't fit the type of extra's that bike has and keep a std pipe ! I don't see the problem getting it, y...

Re: Cornering confidence
The roads are cold and covered in slippery crap, you can't go judging your confidence like that. See how you feel when the roads have cleaned up and it's warmer, i'm sure it'll come back to you and at least you can try things knowing there's a bit of grip
