I disconnected reg/rec and it was still blowing the fuse.
Confused!

Spares or repair??
So I replaced the starter relay tonight as it was blowing the 30A fuse. Still blowing it so no idea what's causing it now, although small fusebox looks to be a bit corroded too. End result, don't want to spend anymore time or money on it so looking to sell as for spares or repair. Don't want to brea...

1999 Honda Firestorm
Located just outside Edinburgh, could possibly deliver (for a cost) depending on location. Got this a few years ago just as a project to work on. Knew I'd probably spend more money on it than I'd get back, but the plan was never to get it to make money, just something to work on in the garage. Got i...

Re: Starter relay
I knew the standard one is a 30A and I confirmed in the workshop manual already. Checked with supplier to make sure I can just put the right fuse in and not have to exchange the part and it's all good. The part fits a variety of Honda's and they sent one with 15A instead of 30A. They did offer to po...

Re: Starter relay
So the replacement relay arrived but has a 15A fuse in it which isn't right.
Have emailed company to find out if I can put a 30A fuse in or whether they've sent me the wrong part!

Re: Starter relay
Battery definitely in correctly. Use Optimate lead for charging.
Will just order new one and replace. Safer option then trying to clean it.

Starter relay
Went to turn bike on for the first time in a while and despite having been on the optimate, nothing. Found the 30A fuse had blown in the starter relay. Stupidly changed it without checking the connector and it went immediately (without ignition on). Discovered it looks like this. Presume there is no...

Re: Urgent part needed
Thanks for the that. Have ordered those so hopefully that's the last bit I need. Knew the carbs would cause issues if I had to remove them!!

Urgent part needed
Can anyone help with a part I need? Sorry for posting in here but trying to get one quickly.
It's in the parts wanted section. A bit needed to screw the choke cable into the carb. Picture in the wanted section post.
Be amazing if anyone has one.
Cheers

Urgent part wanted
Had to get a set of carbs and choke cables for the bike rebuild and where the choke cables go into the carbs, I'm needing the highlighted part. Can only get it as part of the valve started set which is over £50.... Anyone got one lying around?? Cheers Daz https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210811/59...

Re: Little bit more progress....
So finally got round to changing the last of the coolant hoses. Discovered that one of the chokes has snapped off and previous owner has tried to fixed it with a feck load of liquid metal. Was a horrible bodge and looked to be drawing air in which may have been why it occasionally cut out when closi...
