Re: GrainStorm V
Just back in from fitting new front calliper, repairing hugger, adjusting chain and giving her a clean for grainstorm run. When I started her up though I've got a horrible rattle coming from behind the rear cylinder when I blip the throttle. Can't find anything obviously loose but Im hoping it's com...

Re: new to 4 stroke v twins heeelllooooo
Thanks guys, I will pop the pads and check the piston movement :) Oh and I don't WANT to lock the wheel like a ten year old on a BMX  Mine also had a terrible rear brake when I purchased it. The pedal was just solid under my foot and had to be stamped on to do anything. A set of new pads and c...

Re: Run to GrainStorm V
Hi all. I'll be up for meeting en route if there's room for a small one? - I'll be coming from Southend - A127, onto A130. Tilt390. I Could meet you at the lay-by near Wickford turn? You're less likely to be done for kerb crawling if there's two of us & I definitely don't look like a brass! S W...

Re: Bike not starting
Sounds like a case of overfilling with fuel to me. I've filled up to the brim a couple of times to find a few miles down the road she starts spluttering and backfiring then lunges about on 1 cylinder before cutting out. Both times a quick opening and closing of the fuel tap instantly cured this. I ...

Re: Pillion on Firestorm
I have a problem. My wife is perfectly happy on the back of my CB500 (the longest trip we've done on that is London to Morzine, French Alps and back on back roads). Sadly, not so for the Firestorm. She's been on a number of short-ish trips on it, but now outright refuses to go on it because 'it's s...

I know you have a solicitor and all mate. However, and this is just me thinking Hard to prosecute someone for failing to identify a driver if there is no proof the offence occurred. When you say the evidence was seen by experts whay do you mean? Was there initially photographic evidence that is now...

Re: L/H Front brake caliper
Hi all, Just changed the pads in my storm. Upon re-torquing up the mounting bolts on the l/h caliper I could only achieve about 26nm on the top bolt (manual states 30nm) On removal I can see a few threads of aluminium so the caliper is threaded- thought it felt a bit loose when I undid it. Whacked ...

Re: anti-anodising!
OMG what's happened to that tank. Yeh faded anodised tat looks shite. Yep tell me about it. The whole bike is covered in sections of mauve, purple and white spray brushed skulls. Pretty grim. Just can't warranty the cost of respecting or buying new bodywork, plus it keeps the theives thinking...
