Re: Hello Storm troopers ! Stoke on Trent

welcome to the forum, good to see a low mileage bike, tbh your bike would be prone to acct failure, as it's been sitting for most of it's life. they tend to fail after long spells of inactivity, good to hear you got it sorted.
enjoy the bike and feel free to ask any questions....

just be aware that if your reg/rec is faulty, it will kill your new battery fairly quickly.

Re: Starting bike

it could be a number of things, personally i'd suggest looking at the reg/rec, they can be an issue on these bikes, if it's the flat style with no fins, then it'll be crap. change it for a later model finned style, or upgrade to a mosfet reg/rec as for the starter motor, they're very robust, as long...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

750 miles this year and the gear noise is back after that strip and bottom end rebuild. Hey ho I'll just ride it. Pulled the PAIR stuff so I can get a tool in to adjust the idle mixtures. one of the first things I did when I got my 2003 bike about 5yrs ago, was to remove the pairs system, let the b...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

So yesterday I got off my butt and refitted my ohlins. A poxy job. But it needed to go back on. At least it meant I could check and re-grease the linkages. But as the bike rarely sees rain over here. It was no surprise that they were all good. It also allowed me to give my rear end a good clean fnar...

Attempted to get to the bottom of my temp gauge swinging over to the "H" when the ignition is switched on :( Anyone any ideas? Checked Carl's idea that there was a sender change during the model run but when I cross referenced the temp sender numbers it only shows one type. If anyone coul...

Re: Ebay Finds (unusal/cheap/rare/or just good value)

good price for a renntec rack, shame there's no fitting brackets with it, and without them it will just destroy your rear fairing.
