Re: Cb1300s or hornet900
I have not owned a CB1300 but talking to people who have owned one I have not heard many moans about them, supposed to be a good bike all round. Hornet 900, I have owned one of these, personally I was not impressed, not at all, don't get me wrong, they do everything they are supposed to, there is a ...

Re: Lost a tooth filling.
The only part that really stresses me about the dentist is waiting for the numbing stuff to go. and the burning sensation as its going, apart from that, fillings, root canals, extractions no problem.

Best : the ride into Europe, was a good ride.
Worst : crashing Harley twice in 1 hour because of Diesel.

Re: Do Honda's have the worst fuel efficiency?
I'm guessing words like "economy" when it comes to fuel consumption where not high on the list when it comes to bikes with "R" or "Sports" in the name/title :eh: Chris. yes and no, if its bought for playing with during the summer at weekends, then I wouldn't care less,...

Re: Anyone play the harmonica?
 cheers all - thanks for the tips and Saintsman - great "the magic is in the frost". Awesome! I've been looking into playing the Harmonica, been learning to play the guitar for about 8 years now and taking exams, also learning to play the Jaw harp, which is quite fun. How far hav...

Re: Do Honda's have the worst fuel efficiency?
I usually get 100 miles out of a tank, but by then my knees need a stretch anyway. You pay your money and take your choice - All that instant torque has to come from somewhere :D I find it hard to ride at a constant throttle on the 'storm. Its too much fun giving it a handful - Maybe this is part o...

I've not been able to source a tutor for Harmonica, but there are some really good basic tuition videos on YouTube.

Re: Do Honda's have the worst fuel efficiency?
That's the thing, I am the one out of my mates who has bought Honda's and my mates have always bought Yamaha's or Kawasaki and they have always been much more fuel efficient that any of my Honda's.

Re: Not a Moriwaki. So what's it worth?
TBF unless people deleted their post I didn't see much negativity on this thread. I certainly wouldn't buy this bike, its not to my taste, but I'm sure someone would be willing to doll out the money for it, I can see it has been a labour of love, great stuff. Personally if I was a potential buyer fo...

Re: Bolloxs ... sh1t news
Sorry to hear about your loss. My father passed away and the system feels very cold, a lot of people ( on the paper work side of things ) say sorry for your loss but it kind of feels hollow and unfair, there's no time for grieving when your going through the process from death to funeral, and even a...

I know I've met that sort of person before, he will be lucky to sell it at half the price let alone £3000.
I used to go on Swapz site and swap bikes, you always got that one person whose bike was worth fortune ( not ) and yours wasn't worth that much.

Re: grainstorm
I must give many apologies, things this year have been rather trying and busy, to many people dying or getting ill and amputations. Been a really bad year, hopefully next year I can try and make some work shop days, even tho I haven't owned a storm for a fair while, might even do a meet if I can sor...

Re: 99-00 Honda VTR Firestorm (Carb)
I refrained from mentioning the grin factor. When you think how good CB500's have always been considered to be on fuel. Is this based simply on MPG or do they take any performance / thrill factors into the equation. If one one good MPG then they may as well get a vespa. I suppose what it boi...

Out of curiosity was the van pointing towards you or face the rear as you went by?, the camera I saw last week was pointing towards me ( face on ). Yeah but the camera on the other side of the van wasn't...  There was a police car park right in front of the one I saw, looked like the cop...
