Re: Kermit re-visited

Been a bit busy with other things, but still made some time to do a couple of little bits... Fitted the twin headlight relay harness. Headlight is much better now, far brighter. Had a bit of a fiddle with the low speed/idle mixture as I was getting a bit of surging at low engine speed and constant t...

Headlight relay kits

Just made up a dual relay cable for Kermit, and I've got the parts to make another 5 of them if anyone is interested? I'm a professional engineer, and have a lot of experience of vehicle electrics, from simple stuff like this to full EFI builds and installs. These are made with automotive grade thin...

High level link pipes?

Who supplies high level link pipes for the VTR in the UK?

I've tried contacting several companies, and most of them just don't respond

Re: Shipping recomendations for bike parts

I use interparcel.com and use the economy option which is UPS. Normally about £10 for anything up to 30kg.

Kermit re-visited

So, it seems only fitting to carry on the good work started by lloydie... While there's little to do in reality as so much of the hardwork has been done, but I still like to make my own mark on things, with that in mind I have a few minor things planned: Viper carbon cans - ultimately high level, bu...

Re: Finger porting

Not really sure it'll mean anything, but having done a lot of headwork over the years on a number of different engines here's my take... When I do heads I aim for the following finishes on ports and chambers: Inlet ports - 120 grit finish at 90deg to flow. Nothing finer than that. Exhaust ports - mi...

Re: which coolant to use.

Flush it and use the pink stuff available from every auto parts place - normally sold as 5 year life its OAT (organic acid technology). It's all the same stuff, some people just charge you more for it... Should be about £20 for 5 litres of concentrate.

It handles better now :-)
Just remembered a 3mm spacer on the top of shock works really well with a BB, bit like a storm.
6mm for the bird... :)

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Pleased you are enjoying the bird Lloydie. They are a handful in the twisties due to the weight of them, but they make up for it in the straights... The power is addictive, and it's just deceptively quick. I gave Kermit a couple of coats of Chemical Guys Jetseal - shouldn't need to wax it agai...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Cleaned it, polished it, put the scottoiler on it... Got a few other bits to do; need to fit my GPS mount and run the wires back to the battery. And I need to find some link pipes so I can put the viper cans on it. Other than that, plan on riding it  http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/flak_m...
