I was told many years ago that up to 20 mph over limit was a fixed penalty, 20-25 mph over limit coppers discretion whether fixed penalty or court appearance, 25mph compulsory court appearance and 30mph over limit compulsory ban.

I traded in my storm for the r1100s, great bike to ride, i can't say I notice the funny front end.

BMW do little guards for the pots look flimsy but they work as i managed to drop mine in Filey the other week, felt a right pratt.

I use AA, tried to change to Green flag a couple of years ago, they were a lot cheaper if it was only 1 car, but as soon as cars, bikes, wife, kids, mentioned, the operator wouldn't even give quote, she said stick to AA as they would be cheaper.
