Before the VTR I've had bikes with shafts for a few years, but before that i always used to use split links... have they gone out of fashion or won't they stand the torque?

Never had a problem with one before....

This is exactly why I do my own servicing. If I bodge it, at least I know it's bodged. Of course, last time I replaced the CCT's I also dropped a link and bent the rear inlets................ And now it rattles a bit on the rear cylinder little end. That'll learn me! But I'm still not trusting a mai...

I'm on my third set of the same ones as Mike and Patty, stems are quite weak.
And they vibrate more than the standard ones. But yes, you can see fine past your elbows, and the look fine.
Matches the carbon cans, front mudguard and helmet.

You didn't mention this, but I got caught out by this one. Similar symptoms, so just maybe... I have a K&N air filter fitted, cleaned it and re-oiled it. When refitted it revved fine, but misfired when I tried to use more than a bit of throttle. Turned out I must have over-oiled it, 'casue when ...

Tony there only seems to be two sizes of cover,so you are saying the larger ones fit O.K.Cheers Yorky.. :D Ah well I didn't make myself totally clear there now did I. What I've actually fitted is the Motrax Mini Fairing Indicators part no. WL08. They need a tiny hole drilling either end of the hole...
