Re: nothing to do with storms
Yeah i bet the Husky was hard to keep up with. Sounds like you are in the market for a supermoto then. Have you guys heard of SWM? apparently a spanish or italian brand from the 70's, recently reopened for business by buying the Italian Husky factory, and all the Husky patents and tooling of the Ita...

Yeah i hear ya.
how about triples? 675 street, mt09? can be had for pretty realistic money these days. Both bikes sub 170kg if i remember correctly with aggro engines and geometry.

Re: nothing to do with storms
TDM's or "Tedium" no, if your going to go that way check out the TRX. Trellis frame, handsome looks, and agile handling that belies its 200kg weight. Would make a great, cheap little bro to your VTR's. pretty useless for pillion passengers though unless they are midgets or like having thei...

Re: nothing to do with storms
Yeah they are pretty thin on the ground, I wouldnt mind one. But im more just saying that uneven firing parallels sound good so dont rule them out if one comes up.

Re: nothing to do with storms
Check out "Royal Jordanian" on his Nuda 900 on youtube for an idea of what an uneven firing paralel twin sounds like. Mate, they are a good thing.

Re: nothing to do with storms
As a Trx850 owner im going to have to rebutt you on the parralel twin thing. 270* crank has same firing pattern and power delivery as a v-twin but none of the packaging or asymetrical carbuerration and exhaust problems. A lot of the newer bikes are running an uneven firing parrallel twin like that n...

Re: Headlight upgrade ??????
Yeah, not cheap. Thats about 60 pound for the two. Chinese no-brand can be had for half that. Ive tried a few and the philips ones are better. Not really brighter, but much better beam pattern, which pretty much equates to being brighter for the better focus. And they actually fit. I think they're w...

Im thinking the previous owner had a 100w bulb in there at one stage. Bike came with an HID kit which i didn't like.. not th...

Re: U.K. Question
^ yeah they are the natural evolution of everything that is wrong with HD and HD owners lol. Not that ive got anything really against cruisers these days , ive softened a bit in my opinions. If i was going to be a poser this new BMW thing looks pretty classy, build quality looks like its through the...

Re: U.K. Question
I saw a video where one was getting done in a straight line on the back roads by an older model R1. Nothing fancy either, looked mostly stock. Seems like a real expensive way to not turn or stop and still not be that fast. Auto gearbox looks like it would be a pig to use too. I think if i really wan...

Had a bit of a clean up last couple of days and after straightening a few bits I fitted a replacement hanger, fairing panel, handlebars, front brake cylinder & lever and tinted screen. [emoji106] Starting to look the part now[emoji41][emoji965] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190525/48695625...

Re: MCC adjusters v Honda OE?
They look really nice. unfortunately i cant seem to get anything like that in australia. I ended up buying a pair of Chinese ones https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Fit-VTR-1000-Super-Hawk-98-99-00-01-05-Manual-Timing-Cam-Chain-Tensioner-Red-CNC/153043588506?hash=item23a21bd59a:g:XwIAAOSw7e5bNLyG but in bl...
