Heated Grips - any good?

Going to try using my bike for at least a couple more months for commuting but am struggling with my hands already! It's bloody cold at 5am even now lol

Can anyone recommend any good heated grips? Are they worth getting? What size would I need?

Thanks for any advice,

Cheers,

Rob.

Rob use the bolt out of your original bar end to bolt your new bar end dont use the rubber.no need to take the centre thingy out it will tighten up ok I did this on my old bars without any probs.. I did try that, but because the original is 'keyed' it only sits on half the face. Seems pretty secure...

Fitting Bar Ends

I have bought some universal bar ends that fit by expanding a rubber inside the bar. How do I remove the fitting that's already in there that the Honda bar ends bolt to?

Any advice appreciated - I don't want to damage anything trying to force them out!

Thanks for all the replies! I'll start looking for bits in a couple of days. Most the bits can wait and I can gradually change them to get it back to top condition. Colour is Yellow (Bright Yellow) code Y163. Anyone used http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/ One more quick question - my bike is 02 reg...

Little mishap today - few bits needed!

Came off an island in the wet, next thing I know I was fishtailing down the road and doing pretty well until I hit the kerb. Chap following me said a car cut me up and I locked the back wheel, but I really cannot remember anything from leaving the island to sitting on my butt. Scary! Left elbow very...

Fitting a K&N filter improved my mpg from 36 to 40 (commuting so fairly relaxed riding)

Got exactly the same on a tank of texaco unleaded and a tank of optimax - but the bike felt better on optimax :)

Bought a K&N of a guy in the States (off eBay) - total cost £56.66 inc. postage. Bought last Wednesday - arrived Monday!

Was going to get the Dynojet kit too, but I think it may be a different carb

I'm in the process of buying a K&N and dynojet kit - hopefully a nice price from the U.S. I quite like the look of the 'Quill' exhausts. Quote : 'The Quill T3 is the ONLY ROAD LEGAL motorcycle exhaust silencer with RACE CAN PERFORMANCE in the world.' Or the 'EVO2' - same but with removable baffl...

Best way to improve an original bike?

I have a completely standard '02 plate which I've had from new. What are the best cheap mods to spice it up and get me grinning again? K&N filter? Will I need a Dynojet kit & professional setup? Will changing the cans make a big difference? I fancy some high level ones but want to keep it le...
