Re: Latest breaking bones news...
So what's happened to the wrist then Mac. Have you been using it too soon. (:-}) One day Mac you can look back and laugh about it and proudly show your scars. Going to take a few months though.... I take it your looking to get back in the saddle? If your 'Storm doesn't make it what next? Anot...

Re: Hello everyone I'm a fresh one
Welcome. You must be unique - a 'fresh' hairy biker  Balancing the carbs will also help with tickover/stalling. It's amazing how far out they can get if you haven't checked for a while. Might want to go to "User Control Panel", "Profile" and add your location too so we all k...

Gratuitous response just to increase my post count.
Which works out to just over 1 a week. I should hit 8,000 in 2154 AD.

Re: Why do you own a firestorm...
It was cheap when I bought it new in 2002 because it was the 'old' model.
Pretty much sums up why I bought it. Only had my full license for a year and didn't know a lot about bikes but fancied a twin.
No regrets

Re: WD40
gt85 is excellent aswell........... I use GT85. It's a PTFE (Teflon) based. Also a water repellant. Clean your car dashboard with it - it gives a great shine and smells good! I use WD40 as a penetrating agent on rusty bolts etc. I don't use it as a lubricant although I might spray rusty h...

Re: Sunday April 14th 2013 midlands to wales run
Ha, I know what you mean about grass tracking. My bike's rarely clean but it is particularly bad now. Looking at the map again I can see that even with my bad roads I should have got to Crossgates before you. Not having GPS or even a clock skews things, it felt like I'd been riding for hours when I ...

Re: Sunday April 14th 2013 midlands to wales run
I did head out to Crossgates but my route cross-country was hard work, bad roads, mud etc. so didn't get there till 11:45, way after you should have passed through. Carried on to Aberystwth, Machynlleth, Welshpool, Shrewsbury then home. Had to stop after Aberystwth to thaw out, hands were frozen as ...
