Brave or stupid? Fair play to him.

As I was travelling north bound along the M6 it became apparent..... woh hang on there fella, you're not in the dock :D Seriously though, I was on the M6 last night in the car with a mate and 2 bikers overtook us in the outside lane. We were doin 95mph. Caught them up about 2 miles later as they wer...

012 front, 020 back seems to be the obvious choice then now.

Looking at their website, http://194.39.141.68/articles.asp?id=52035
looks like the 014 is slightly more 'race' orientated than the 010/012 and the 020 is sport touring. Kaz, that means you are allowed to go faster :D :D

I did think mixing might be a no no. I presume the number indicates compound........ 12 being soft and sticky but not much wear, 20 being harder, less sticky but you get more miles out of it. :?

I've still got the Dunlops and noticed the rear locking up a few times :? Is this the tyre or me? If I've got a fairly new front (Dunlop) and a ok rear 8O, any advice on what I should change to? I don't commute or do track days, just potter around at weekends. Could I keep the dunlop on the front an...

Apart from the bleeding bit, I found sussing the best place to run the hoses the most difficult. Also, I think there were a couple of brackets missing from my kit and I had to make some up. I tried following the explanation in the instructions I had, but couldn't follow the route they had taken.

Yep, thats all I did. Make sure you got a clear bit of pipe that can fit on the bleed nipple and run this into a glass jar. Pump the brake lever whilst holding the pipe under the level of the brake fluid and watch those air bubbles  Alternatively, if you have a bleeding kit you'll be laughing ...

Interesting...... following oil, oil filter and plug change I contemplated changing the air filter but it looked ok. I'm no expert on how air filters should look though. You reckon its worth changing then :?:

Thanks Pete

So, if my air filter needs changing now, what should I do? Put a K&N one on now, then do the dyno. Stick a £20 filter on from Busters and put it on the dyno or do nowt with the filter and see how it looks on the dyno?

K&N, jetting, cans. Again!!

Is it possible to runs slip-on cans (road legal), with a K&N air filter, set up on a dyno, with no jet kit? You see, I've got the cans, I need to replace my air filter anyway and interested to see how a dyno run turns out (only £30). Didn't really want to bother re-jetting. What adjustments can...

Think I've sussed what it is. Its the Scottoiler which has been routed to the front cylinder, which by all accounts is good news  Makes balancing the carbs a doddle as the scottoiler comes off, vacuum gauge goes on. Voila. If thats not right you will tell me won't you

Same here. I think they are better, but not sure. Maybe haven't bled the brakes properly or changing pads may make a bigger difference.

.....now I'm worried 8O . My Mate connected the front carb and he didn't have to piss about with the allen headed screw. Del's idiots guide said this 'First you need to see whether you have a front vacuum take off point or whether it still has the standard M5 allen bolt in it.' Mine appears to have ...

Same here, changed filter, oil, plugs. Swapped hoses to Goodridge braided and replaced fluid. Definately suggest bleed kit as it was a pain in the butt. Balanced the carbs as well with the vacuum tube kit avalable on ebay for £12. How accurate is this tube/mercury ball system? Anyone else used it? ...
