Hey what about this then. Phoned the dyno place this morning to tell them I wouldn't be coming due to 'mechanical problems'. They said no problem, but why didn't I come down on Saturday anyway as they were having an open day and dyno runs were free

Thanks Johnny. I was thinking of cancelling the dyno for the reasons you mentioned. I'd rather replace the petcock and see how it is after that. Also, while your at it - check the front cylinder vacuum port - it should be blanked off with a screw - again, remove and replace with some thread lock, ju...

Is it important that you clamp the vac pipe when balancing? I have a t-piece on the vac pipe to the rear carb which I simply connect the guage to and remove the scottoiler from the front carb and connect the other guage pipe to. It seems to work without clamping or am I missing something?

Johnny.

I think it is this. The bike isn't running particularly well. I have it booked on a dyno run on Friday. Popping on the new road legal cans I got recently and having problems balancing the carbs. How easy is it to change the fuel petcock

I had a feeling it might be that, but I'm sure Del had said in a previous thread that if the diaphram had gone, fuel would be everywhere. What do you think?

Fuel in vacuum pipe

I have a t-piece in the vacuum pipe for carb balancing. I've been messing with the carb balancing this week and twice I have noticed petrol in the t-piece. Anyone know why this is?

Further to the indicator prob, came to start it today, turned the key, lights came on as usual, pressed start button, heard a 'pop', lights on the display had gone out and completely dead. Took seat off, removed all the fuses (which were all ok) and then saw another 2 'big fuses' which I removed and...

I'm having some problems re balancing. I appear to have it all balanced up, take it out next day and sounds like a bag o' spanners. Check it again to find it it out, and needs adjusting. Is it a bit of pain in the butt to get it right or have I got another problem? I did have a bit of petrol in the ...

Help!! No indicators

Coming back from work tonight and noticed indicators not working. Will not get chance until weekend to investigate, to save me a bit of time, has anyone got any suggestions what it could be?
