I know it dosent answer the question but I've got a superchips ignition unit and it definetly smooths out the power delivery through most of the rev range ( Leaves a fairly big dip at 4000rpm which can be tuned out but only at the expense of power at the top end)

The problem with my heel guards is that they flex to much and bend into the chainguard/hugger. The gearlever side is gradually wearing a groove in the chain guard. If it helps, I may be interested as well. Ive got some Harris healguards for my rearsets and to be honest the guards are rubbish (very flexible and bend to much when your heel presses against them) so if you can make a stronger alternative I'd be in the market for them
