I couldn't find the receipt so I email alpinestars. Got an email back from some guy there saying give them my mobile number and they'll call me about it. So I did - and <shockingly> they did call me back. New set of boots will be sent out when they've had a chance to look over mine. - Cool - I bough...

Probably outright protection. I don't do much walking about in my boots!
Waterproof is a plus but I don't think I've ever had a pair of boots that were REALLY waterproof.

Affordability is always nice - I've still got my insurance claim to go through so I'm shopping outside of my usual budget :-)

Boots

Anyone recommend a decent brand of boots - my alpinestars (9 months old) litteraly fell apart today.

Do the have any kind of guarantee? I can't find my receipt!

Thinking SIDI or alpinestars race/road style.

New website

Hi Guys, This is very off topic, so please forgive me. I'm a developer for http://www.mysinglefriend.com (Sarah Beeny's new dating website). We're waiting for some press etc to happen and need some more profiles online. The site isn't your typical dating site where you add yourself - before your pro...

I'm 28 and also very grumpy! <rant> Coming home from work last week I was carefully filtering through the traffic at a particularly busy set of light, in all the gear, checking mirrors etc. notice something on two wheels stonking up behing me so I move in a gap to let them pass. What was it? - Blood...

One thing I should probably point out is that I didn't actually hit her car. I would have if I hadn't eaten tarmac instead. Yeah at the scene I estimated my speed to the cop at about 25 to 30 (it was a 30 limit) The skid showed a speed of 15 to 20. The bike cost about 1400.00 to repair (mostly expen...

Yeah I read though her statement again today and it's so full of it - LOL - really quite funny. She's saying she indicated, looked and pulled out. The police in their statement have said they reviewed some cctv footage of the street (thank god for those cameras) and she pulled out without indicating...

Day in court

Back in January I came off my Firestorm. Long story short: Driving through town, a mini pulled out from the wrong side of the road right in front of me. It was lightly raining I paniced and to avoid slamming into the back of the mini I slammed on the brakes, obviously the front wheel locked and befo...

I had exactly the same problem when I put the standards back on. Never got to the bottom of it. Just put my aftermarket cans back on.

Would be interested if you do find out what's causing it.

I managed to bump mine the other day. Down a gentle slope in third, kind of paddled it until I thought I was going fast enough then let the clutch out. However, the first attempt was a disaster tried it in second, locked up the rear wheel and almost lost it.
